Amethon Solutions MMS Analytics wins at the AIIA’s iAwards

Sydney, 15 May 2006: Australian mobile messaging and applications developer, Amethon Solutions today announced that its MMS analytics for mobile networks application received industry accolades by winning the Applications and Infrastructure Tools category at the recent iAwards.

Amethon has developed a unique and compelling set of products for the mobile content delivery value chain. MMS Analytics is an application based on Amethon’s patent pending Content Fingerprinting technology. With the massive increase in mobile based user generated content, the ability to measure and monetise mobile content across networks is a key driver for continued revenue growth for mobile carriers.

Amethon Solutions is the first to market in the world with a non-intrusive MMS Analytics offering. Adrian Jensen, Amethon Solutions’ Acting CEO says, “Industry, through the iAwards, has endorsed the appeal and robustness of our MMS Analytics application. Through the iAwards rigorous assessment process, the pioneering development we have done in the mobile arena has been recognised.”

Amethon Solutions Director, James Cleary adds: “Interest in mobile content is expanding rapidly enabling us to make remarkable progress with the Content Fingerprinting platform which is the basis for the mobile content value chain model. We have secured trials with mobile operators in the region and are receiving increasing interest overseas, even though the early version of MMS Analytics has only been promoted for the last 3 months. In addition Amethon has commenced building its channel network conducting pre-sales activities in a number of global operators.”

MMS Analytics 1.0 is a world-first application to track and analyse user generated and distributed multi-media content across a mobile network. Mobile operators are under pressure to increase traffic volume – content drives additional revenue streams. Amethon provides the technology to measure the revenue contribution each type of content that passes through their networks. The MMS Analytics suite of products gives operators access to data allowing for sophisticated customer, content type and service segmentation and data drive strategies, essential customer intelligence in this highly competitive, content-driven market place.

MMS Analytics also enables effective monitoring of Digital Rights Management and real-time virus detection for mobile networks, both of which have previously been unavailable to mobile network operators.

Another application is FriendsWhoForward, which was the 2005 Australian winner of the the prestigious Ericsson Frontier competition. The FriendsWhoForward application embraces the concept of peer generated content where users make content such as pictures, music clips, mini movies or jokes to suit their own individual tastes.

Each of the iAward winners will go on to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ITC Awards, which will be held in Macau in October 2006.
