Michael Stone

Michael joins the Amethon team from Ericsson where he was involved in mobile telecommunications sales and marketing since the early days of GSM. In this time, he has been part of an industry evolution from simple voice through SMS, WAP, GPRS and now 3G.

As part of Ericsson's 3G marketing team in the late 90's he was instrumental in conveying the 3G vision being realised today to both the mobile operator community and the broader IT&T industry. This led to a critical involvement in Ericsson's successful bid for Hutchison Australia's 3G network business followed by a Sales Management role in the Vodafone account team. His most recent responsibility was as General Manager for Ericsson's Advise Services where he managed the consulting, design and education business areas.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canberra and an MBA from RMIT University.

James Cleary

Chief Technology Officer

James is Chief Technology Officer, responsible for focusing on driving Amethon's business advantage to meet customer's requirements.

His commercial expertise and technical savvy, helps him ensure that Amethon remains an innovative leader to meet the fast-moving market demand in the mobile communications sector. 

Since winning a Chancellor's Scholarship to Sydney University in Australia, he has continued a track record of innovation. James and has been instrumental in creating new technologies and commercialising them in a global marketplace, and was awarded the Telecommunication Society of Australia’s Innovation Award for 2006.

James brings a global perspective to the business, with his experience serving clients and partners in the US, SE Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He has also worked in Australia and Canada, bringing extensive experience providing pre-sales & systems architecture solutions with major corporations, IT integrators and telcos including Optus, Hewlett Packard, CAE, Open Telecommunications and Comindico.
